Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most popular of all cosmetic procedures, both in our practice and across the United States.
Women that have waited years to enhance their breasts by adding volume and shape are most pleased with the instant fullness and natural results they achieve through breast augmentation.
Women choose to have breast augmentation surgery for a variety of personal reasons. Creating a well-defined hour glass figure is a motivator for many breast augmentation patients.
Some women born with small breasts feel less confident and prefer a more traditionally feminine shape with fuller, firmer breasts. Other women want to restore the appearance of their breasts after pregnancy or weight loss, which can cause a reduction in size and volume. Breast augmentation is also very successful in improving symmetry for the many women born with asymmetrical breasts.
What it comes down to is this: With the help of Dr. Togba, you can take control of your body’s appearance and give yourself the body you want. You’ll get to feel the positive emotional changes that come along with improved self-confidence!
Dr. Togba is a very experienced breast augmentation surgeon. As a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in the Bay Area. He was one of the first plastic surgeons in the Bay area to perform breast augmentations endoscopically.
Breast augmentations are performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. A small incision of ¾ inches is made in the underarm area for saline implants or less than 2 inches in the breast crease to allow for creating a pocket for silicone implants to be placed behind the breast tissue. The pocket can be created above or below the muscle.

Breast implants are silicone shells filled with either saline solution or silicone gel. They can be round or teardrop shaped, smooth or textured. They are available in low, medium, or high profile implants. We use implants made by the three major manufacturers: Allergan, Mentor, and Sientra.
Dr. Togba wants all his patients to be pleased with their breast augmentation procedure. He has a thorough consultation with each patient in his Bay Area cosmetic surgery practice so he can understand their unique aesthetic goals and ensure they all have realistic expectations from their procedure. During the appointment, Dr. Togba takes precise measurements of the chest wall and breast tissue to determine the appropriate implant size for each individual. For natural results and symmetry, it is important that the size of implants are proportioned to each patient’s shoulders, waistline, hips and all other body features. Once the size and type of implant are determined, in order to visualize the results, patients are able to try on implants during a fitting.
Breast augmentation patients must not lift any heavy weights after surgery—including lifting your child. Dr. Togba will give you detailed instructions how to gradually build up strength until you are fully recovered, but most patients can return to work within a week. To ensure a speedy recovery, Dr. Togba encourages all his patients to engage in walking after surgery.
After recovery, Dr. Togba’s patients have both an improved silhouette and improved confidence.
